Rider of Swords

In Kabbalah, the Rider is being in a Flow or trend: a state where Force has picked up the Stalker and carried them along. Swords are will, action, thought, and information.

Therefore, the Rider of Swords means being in the flow of will, action, thought, and information. For example, it can symbolize being a television viewer.

The distinguishing feature of the Rider of Swords is absorption of the Rider's attention and will by a process. At the same time, if desired, the Rider can direct attention and move in the needed direction.

The reversed Rider of Swords is loss of control over the flow of information, force, or events: a lost bridle that carries the rider anywhere. For example, intoxication followed by loss of adequacy.

Rider of thought, will, and effort:

  • Being captured by an idea and carrying it.
  • Prophet or genius.
  • Philosopher writing an abstruse treatise.
  • Engineer absorbed in invention.
  • Leader in oratorical ecstasy.
