Two of Cups

In Kabbalah, the Two is interaction. Cups are emotions, feelings, and memories.

Thus the Two of Cups is interaction of feelings and emotions, or immersion in a memory. It may symbolize mutual smiles, laughter, surprise, joy, or other shared emotions, feelings, and memories.

The distinguishing feature of the Two is that emotions and feelings are always directed at someone or something. If the subject is memory, the person is immersed in it to the point of detachment from reality.
